Willy should take some boxing lessons so he can get back at A-holes in the still legal head bashing called a fight. With practice he might get in 10 additional head shots after they fall and before they hit the ground.

Political correctness sure has created insane hypocrisy in all facets of our world.  It wouldn't surprise me if next year we see the Penguins coming out on the ice in pink pussy hats.

It will sure be nice to have the enforcer back on the ice. I hope this raises Ovie's physical play too.

Well. . . a hit to the knees is not a hit to the head, so his “history” wouldn’t nessacarly apply.  Also destroyed ACLs and MCLs don’t require “concussion” protocol (yet).  So as long as isn’t The Ol’ Malkin Slew Foot, . .

May not desirable or preferable, but it’s better than a “Soft Willie”, or another suspension

I'm tellin' ya -- If Wilson is smart he'll start finishing his checks like a good NFL running back finishes his runs -- lower the shoulder and drive through the opponent.  I don't want to hear the league whimpering the first time someone leaves the ice with broken ribs.

The financial impact of this most recent suspension is going to motivate him to be much more careful.  If not, he's an idiot.

Not picking on you Apace, but as much as finances have an impact....I don't think it is a real consideration while on the ice and in the game.  I mean, afterwards, he has to realize and adjust or know its going to cost him in more ways than one, but the last three suspensions did not impact his decision on the ice to destroy a guy in a preseason game.  I love the way Willy plays and hate to see him change, but think he has to or he will certainly be suspended again.

Not that I believe all his suspensions were even close to legit....but he certainly is a marked man.

I am just glad the sentence was reduced.  Hope he doesn't pay for it in the long run by being on NHL's shittier then before list.

Go Caps

Will he really play tonight?

Maybe he will be the lift the Caps definitely need right now.
