Enjoyed the cameraman catching the little girl in the stands who had the interaction with Connolly earlier in the season. Very cute. Also fun to see some Nationals there at the game...unfortunately not much support from other teams in this town (unless I missed them).
Team looked confident tonight, not letting mistakes get to them, no hanging their heads, no anxious moments, rattling Fleury, still harassing Vegas on defense and swiping at the puck, chasing them. Very consistent, I think throughout this series--to my untrained eye, they look like the same team from game to game (a change from previous playoff series, I think). Effort has been consistent throughout, too which I think translates to better performance over time, too.
My only wish is that we reduce the penalties in the next game--that could work against us a lot on their ice.
So fun to watch the crowd outside--happy people celebrating their team.
