I'm still surprised the Caps are here. Even moreso surprised at that than the fact that the Golden Knights are here. I still think the GK will win but HERE'S HOPING I'M WRONG GO CAPS!
I think this series will come down to coaching, preparation, and strategy. The Caps have the nuts to win if the focus is 100% and well thought out. If we are not as physical as we've ever been and more then it could be really tough. Striking first will be huge too. If we strike quickly we can deflate the Knight's ego and confidence.
I really believe we got this if we want it and I think we want it more than Vegas. Game 1 can go either way and it's still anyone's Cup. It may take us a game to refine our strategy, but I'm confident we will regardless the outcome of this game.
This is not the Caps team of years past. I say we might lose the first game and take the next four. Caps in 5. Although it would be nice to finish at home in Game 6.
BTW, Vegas is like my second home. My Dad lives there and my Son and I used to go there at least once per year for a week to help my Dad manage his Las Vegas Marathon, which was his creation and a huge event. We got to enjoy the best of everything in Vegas. A fun place to visit, but I would not want to live there.
