There is nothing wrong with playing a trap. If played right it can cause turnovers in the neutral zone and create some good scoring chances.

I don’t really think the Caps are playing a trap or at least what I consider a trap as when a team falls back into the neutral zone. The Caps are forechecking hard and backchecking and getting into the passing lanes. N
