Oof. Glad I quit when it went 2-0. Was about my bed time anyway, and i was ready to drift off.
Watched the 10 min condensed replay. Thompson was fighting his glove early, but still made bunch of good saves but definitely not his best night. The bounces were certainly going the Krakken's way. Caps missed 2 yawning empty nets in the 1st. No idea what TVR was doing most of the game...he was totally out of position on 3 Seattle goals, plus was down in the O-crease on Ovi's back during a scramble that then lead to Seattle breakaway for a goal. Carlson was slow - guy just skated around him to the outside for Goal #4, He some other very poor decisions that didn't lead to goals. BigMac made some mistakes too, but did use his size to take out 2 Krakken...while a 3rd scored with TVR watching. TVR only player on the ice that was -3. Gonna start calling him drum he gets beat so often.
About the only positive I saw was Leonard looks fantastic on the PP. Great pass to Ovi when he could have easily taken the shot. Leno should start every PP with Strome, Sourdiff, Chicky, Ovi.
Leno is a good passer and has great shot. The PP lets his skills shine.
Detroit lost at home last night, knocking them out of 1st place down to 3rd (Tampa Bay is now in 1st) Going into Detroit tomorrow for our next loss should be fun.
