I never did see what happened to McMike

I don't know if that's good or bad.  Kinda hoped someone would grab him and he could get to play somewhere.  I am a little surprised at least someone didn't want him.
Now if you grab a player off waivers, you have to carry him on your active roster, correct?  I mean you can just grab him, then send him to your AHL squad a week later?

If memory serves, it seems like teams can claim a player and send him straight to the minors.

Carlson got hurt in that last game before the Olympic break. It’s seems it’s worse than originally reported on.

My thoughts are, if he can't get ice on a team like ours, who are scoring deprived, he won't get ice anywhere.. He's had every opportunity to take (at least) 4 guys spots and can't do it.

What channel is the game on tonight? FN HULU doesn't show it on any.  :( Though I thought I saw it the other night that said the next 2 were on MMT?? Maybe an NHLnet crossover or something, I dunno..

Hope to see ya around!!

Streams are harder to come by these days, for sure.. I use this site when I need one: https://onhockey.tv/
It's a pain in the ass, you have to fight through the spam, re-clicking and going back, etc. until you get the game playing. Then, once you get it playing, if you can expand the screen (click the full screen button at bottom right of stream) it'll stay up and w/o spam.
I found plenty of working streams on https://onhockey.tv/. Thanks Mickstix, but I just got a subscription to Monumental Sports, so I can watch the games with a bunch of old farts like me in Clear HD..  :uh-huh:
Be careful what you ask for America; you just might get it.

Good for Frank. I would have thought they could have gotten him for a little less, but with the cap going up, I guess that is ok.

On another note, I read on the RNBN site (which usually has some pretty good analysis) that there was some chatter about teams inquiring about Carlson. Get this - the referenced return on a trade was crazy - although the trade was considered unlikely.

Accoding to Pierre Lebrun,

"While an eventual deal is unlikely, the framework of a possible trade could match or even exceed what the Calgary Flames received from the Vegas Golden Knights for defender Rasmus Andersson in January. The Flames, who retained 50 percent of Andersson’s cap hit, got defenseman Zach Whitecloud, prospect Abram Wiebe, a 2027 first-round pick, and a conditional 2028 second-round pick in return."

If the Caps could get a bag of pucks for Carlson, I would be happy!

Kampf and Liljegren will not play tonight. Coach wants Liljegren to get a couple more practices in, and Kampf is having visa issues.

I’m not holding my breath for the first year or three. D men typically take longer to develop. Maybe he will surprise us.
