I think I heard during pregame show that Trotz wants to see how the other players respond to the serious threat to their roster spots by Gersich. I was preparing the GDT, so I wasn't paying close attention, but that was the gist of what I thought I heard.
It's impressive that even with recent injuries the Caps have the best record by far over the last ten games than any other NHL team. If everyone steps it up we can be a threat . . . Until the 2nd round! ;)
