Ovi had better legs than he's had in a month.  Other than that, they were damn lucky to win.  You could argue that was the worst game of the year.  They had defensive breakdown after defensive breakdown, guys out of position, bunching up in front of Lindgren, no physicality, letting Flyers skate around free.  It was dreadful.  The coaches should be reaming them for that performance.  Without Lindgren making huge stops, the Flyers get 6-7 goals.

I also didn't like Ovi not getting that puck out with 5 seconds left.  He had a chance to just dump it out and he tried to deke around the d-man to get a shot at the empty net.  It was almost costly and I think he knew it from the looks of him at the end.

Saw the same and was like...Damn Ovi...you almost cost us.  Lets hope this wakes everyone up a little, but honestly...Ovi's nature is to score...not to shut them down for a win.
I agree with ...(someone) I would NOT have put Ovi out there at the end.

But hey...Ovi, Eller, McMike and Chicklets all scored...that's a good thing.

Caps now 11 pts up on anyone in the east (Carolina & Florida) with at least a game in hand
Caps also back to top of the League; tied with Jets but have a game in hand.

Love for them to win Sunday and ride into the break on a high note.  Hope they show up Sunday.

I think it is key that we keep certain guys scoring to keep their confidence going.  McMike is so much better when he has confidence.  If he could get back to the way he was playing at the beginning of the season, that would be huge for them. Strome is another guy we need to get back to his best level. He seems to be trending that way lately.

I've been a bit concerned about PLD the last couple of games.  I thought he looked slow and a bit disinterested against Philly.  I still love what he has brought this year though.

Now that the juggling has stopped McMike has picked up again.  He looked totally lost on the top line and he certainly isn't a 3rd or 4th liner.  He's back where he belongs, imho.   It's a bonus to us that he can play both L and R Wing.

Didn't he come to us as a Centre?
For some reaon I keep getting comparisons with "Mojo" in my head.

Yea, I think he, Protus and Lapierre are all technically "centers".

Hah!   Sometime I do wonder if it' just me.   :snicker:

I do like our Centers.  Who they are, where they are.  If there's an inury, I'm okay with the jiggery pokery.  We have great depth in our C's., I think.

I have to wonderr if McMike got a bit ahead of himself and thought he should be getting more than he was?  Does he still consider himself a Centre?
like Mojo always did.  ?
