Don't care how they spin it, this is a head scratcher.. Kid is 5'11" 170# basically zero NHL experience and a RFA.. We gave up a 2nd and 6th to get him?
Starting to realize all those good moves before last year we're majority made by GMBM..

Looks like a good pick for regular season success. The playoffs though, are a different animal.

I don't see how it's a good pick for anything.. A 2nd and 6th for an AHL RFA is nuts. I guess we'll see if the scouts saw something everyone else doesn't..
And he has to clear waivers to send him to Hershey. So, he's gonna be on the roster or they'll risk losing both those picks for nothing.
I've seen multiple explanations of the RFA process and how we basically could of gotten him for less by making an offer FL couldn't match, then only giving up the 3rd round pick..
