Knowledge is knowing that the Tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is knowing that you shouldn't include it in a Fruit Salad; Philosophy is wondering if a Bloody Mary counts as smoothie

Isle of Mann is a trip. Crazy mofo's!!
Amazon Prime set a new standard in Nascar Cup broadcasts.. Figures it'd be behind a pay window.  :-(  But their coverage and announcers put FOX to shame..

When I was younger and dumber, I thought I could do Isle of Mann. I would have been a statistic.

I used to know a guy that ran the Daytona 200 every year, by his own admission at the back of the pack. That would’ve been the peak of my abilities.

You ride bikes? I never got into them. Probably told ya before, but I had a bad wreck as a kid on a dirt bike. Never got the itch again. MotoGP guys are nuts as well. Shit's dangerous! lol

Florida Caps showed up again tonight. Lose 3-0 lead 3-1 in the series.

The feelers on the foot pegs have flat spots on them. Not something you can do with a Harley. It took me awhile to figure out where the scrape marks were coming from on my boots. I’ve destroyed dirt bikes, but that’s a different animal from street bikes.

The Canes actually showed up.

Florida is solid.  Great goaltending, elite players, solid on D, and.... BIG.
I'd like to see Edmonton win the Cup, but Hyman going out (shoulder surgery... I think) is a HUGE blow.  Also they are suspect in net so not sure they can handle Florida.  Edmonton has the most elite talent on the planet, but they are not as complete as Florida.

This assumes of course, Edmonton gets through Dallas.

Go Oilers

Florida vs Carolina was one of those series where the only way I’d be happy with the outcome is if the building burned down, with both teams in it.

I turned it off after the 1st period. Didn't feel like seeing Carolina extend it to game 6. Then saw the "highlights".. Dude, that play by Barkov, where he handles the puck behind the net, then dishes a sweet pass across the crease? We have nobody on the team or in the system who could do that.. Just impressive. Go Cats!!

And if Edmonton doesn't find elite goaltending fast, Florida will eat their lunch -and- take their money..   They may play static for lengths of time, but when they turn it on, it's on!

We have, in the world of sports, an actual rare rematch. Last season Florida beat Edmonton for  The Cup. This season it’s Florida vs Edmonton for The Cup.

Wednesday, June 4 at 8pm is game 1 in Edmonton.

I hate dragging it out a week to START the damn final.  I get it they are a great distance apart (the two teams farthest apart geographically, as well as the team farthest north and the team farthest south)

But FFS man, we got planes n shit.
It's a 45 hour drive by car

I managed to stay awake for the end....barely...i was just barely hanging on.  I wasn't making it thru another intermission that's for sure.

Feel bad for the Cat who cleared it over the glass for a penalty inside the last two minutes which eventually resulted in the GWG.
and....the GWG a PPG:  Draisaitl from McDavid...who could have imagined?

Pretty good game.  I think FLA has a more complete playoff style team, but Oilers are definitely potent.  Oilers been weak in Net, but Skinner had a good 2nd half of the game, kept the Oilers in it.

Go Oilers.

FWIW...I thought the 1st FLA goal should have been washed out.  Bennet falls into the goalie and makes substantial contact with the goalie in the blue paint as the puck arrives.  I hate how often the goalie interference BS is called but I'm shocked this wasn't overturned for that.  They ruled the Oiler D man knocked him into the goalie, but thats BS...Bennet tripped over his feet and fell into him.

I thought the same thing watching it live. But the last replay they showed, during the review, Oiler D tripped him. Not the guy he was engaged with, the other D as he skated by.

Either way it was a highly subjective call. But I know how it would’ve worked if that goal was against the Caps.

I was shocked they let it stand. Figured they'd already missed the trip since it wasn't obvious at all. But vs the Caps, yea that's called back 99.9%. lol
