The NHL did the same shit to the Caps last season. But, NJ was part of the global games crap and played two in Prague vs the Sabers on the 4th and 5th that counted as regular season games while the rest of the league was still playing preseason games.

I watched part of the Kings game with Kuemper in net....he looked slow to me and gave up one HUGE rebound, but he has only allowed 3 goals in 2 games and Kings are 1 - 0 -1....losing in shootout to Boston after a 1-1 tie thru OT


Kuemper is 1-0-1 with a 1.5 GAA and .945 Sv%

Roy is going to miss several games, McIlrath skated in his place today at practice. And, OV skated at right wing today.

sucks for Roy, but hope its short term.  Im comfortable with McIlrath or Alexeyev though.
Not surprised at all that Logan Thompson will start in goal.
I expect we will see Vranna as well...Milano cant find his groove and that 3rd line was pretty forgettable

I'd really like the see Alexyev get the start instead of McIlrath.  I think Alexyev has a shot at being really good - especially if they could get him to put on a few pounds and get some snarl in his game. McIrath is a good story though and brings some physicality.

Home game times are all over the place this season. The league schedulers get input from the home team, but based on what I’ve seen, tv can and does over rule the home team.

3rd line last game was a -3.  I dont' think adding Vranna to that line will help in the defensive responsibility.
Also don't think moving Protas to the top line is worth the experiment. I'd put a scorer (like Vrana) on that line before I'd put Protus, but maybe they want a big body?

Hamlin probably got eliminated with Logano's fuel mileage win. Must win either Homestead or Martinsville. Whole thing is a Mickey Mouse Cup anyway. Larson and Bell and possibly Byron are the only ones who should "realistically" even have a chance at this point, but.. Here we are!
