OOF. I barely sat down and it was 0-2. Game was already over.
I don't fully blame K for either of the first two, but would have liked him to stop the first one...this team NEEDS him to stop that. The second one was just oddball...weird high deflection off Strome blocking the shot and it flips in the air right to a guy standing in the crease who catches it and nearly throws it in the net, barely tapping it on its way in. Very odd. Really looked like it shouldn't be legal.
I think Lindy stops the first one...he's quicker along the bottom of the net for sure. It was a very fortunate bounce and somebody missed coverage of the guy coming in.
The third goal I would also like back, but after the review MOJO does pretty well snipe it and he was pretty damn close - an excellent shot. Still....guy coming down the wing firing a shot unscreened...you need those stops knowing your own team is goal deficient.
We really just not getting excellent play from anyone consistently. Now that the third line scoring has slowed down....we back to MAYBE getting two goals a night. Not gonna win often with this goaltending and goal scoring combination.
Mantha scored...good on him...Oshie gets the tip...good for him. Oshie has certainly looked better since his return, but honestly...prolly only a matter of time till he goes down again for a couple weeks.
Ovi...oof. When do you start resting him just to play someone who MIGHT score? Carbs is trying to limp his way to the all star break so these old fucks can have a week off.
