On a team with a defense, he'd be the Cup favorite imo. He'll battle you, he'll rob you, he'll take your fucking lunch money!!

It would be nice to make the playoffs, but lets be real, the Caps will get smoked by any team they could face in the 1st round. There's not a single team in the top 6 that we are competitive with. Maybe the Caps hang with Boston only because we have some sort of magic juju vs. them, but I doubt that magic holds for an entire series.
Caps can hang with good teams on occasion, but not night in and night out, and not when it really matters (like the last 6 games).... we just are not that good overall. We don't have even one area that we excel at...or even are above average at; size, speed, skill, O, D, GT...undeniable desire? We've got none of those.

I dont see this team as a cup contender. But getting in the playoffs would still be nice, and weirder things have happened once in.

I'd just like an extra week of hockey.. Once the Caps are done I tune out for the most part. Then about all there is to watch is Chicago Med, Fire and PD. :-( lol
Rich, we have cup caliber goaltending in Chucky. That's it though. We stink in every other aspect. I still don't know how we're that bad at Defense with all the money we have in contracts, but here we are. I guess that man-on-man D they play only works with slow teams. Any team with speed gives us fits.
Buffalo was eliminated from the playoffs last night, so maybe they show up hung over and butthurt and let us win tomorrow?? :wackysmile:
