Anyone else notice the Caps play 11 games in the first month of the season, but play 15 in the last month of the season? The NHL season starts Oct 10 and ends April 18. The Caps season starts Oct 14 and ends April 16.

I forgot about Pacioretty. He will start the season on IR. When he returns the Caps will be $700,000 over the salary cap.
