Here’s the NHL’s official announcement:  ANNAPOLIS, Md. (March 3, 2018) – The National Hockey League announced today that the start time of tonight’s 2018 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium will remain at 8 p.m. ET. In addition, The PreGame, a free fan festival in the Blue Lot at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, will be open from 2-7:30 p.m., as originally scheduled.

Yeah the wind is nuts today . . . But, there is some great dubious humor when Bettmans gimmick of outdoor hockey gets affected by weather 🤣

Heh maybe they should only play the games in stadiums with retractable roofs? 😆😆

Yeah, there’s no question he should start, it sucks for him that he’s in a slump, under scrutiny, on a big stage, on a faux rink with who knows what ice conditions and 20+ mph winds

Hope,he can finally catch his luck tonight by showing best performance  and help our team win a match!

I won't be giving this the main watching time but I'll throw it off with the audio off on my tablet. UFC is on tonight and that generally always takes precedence to hockey, especially regular season hockey. Even if the outdoor thing always is enjoyable, again I'll have it on tablet. Maybe I'll end up seeing a few good plays as I glance.

Ovechkin for 600 tonight though would be a real treat just due to the atmosphere. He should try to make it happen.

Did I mention, (recently), how shitty it is this game isn't in Camden Yards??

They did Wrigley, Fenway, and Dodger, then the Yankee and Bush 2.0 series.  Then the Big House, Soldier, and Gillete . . .

But of the the top iconic outdoor stadiums that is the template for almost every new baseball stadium, and ignited the "new stadium" fad. . .  Gets snubbed for a stadium of a team that no pays attention two more than once a year.

Now not to take away from the military, I'm fact I think the idea of us and Chicago routinely playing each other at an Army or Navy facility would be one the best ideas that could come out this, . . .

But snubbing The Yards, the historic bar with live baseball, the icon of stadiums. . .?  I mean I know it'd be tough on the grass when the season is a few weeks away, and I know you be gotta tough to live here, and the town is 100x better if you already  know someone here, and if you don't make friends in Baltimore. IT'S YOU'RE OWN DAMN FAULT!!!

. . . End of First Rant

Those games were all the "outdoor classic" on New Year's Day. The "stadium series" is something different. Are you not surprised that Bettman continues to screw this franchise? Especially since this market still hasn't hosted an all star game.

Haha DC is on rant mode tonight. How much drinking has been going on? :P

I'm sure we'll get another chance at an outdoor at the facility your mentioning, the NHL is going to milk the Ovechkin era for as much as they can just as much as the Caps seem to be. That said I personally think every single team should play a home and away outdoor game each year, because why not the NHL invests so much money in these things and people like them. Then nobody gets the shaft.

It's like overseas games too, I wish we had a few more of those established per season.

Not in the least, which is what really pisses me off. . . I mean there are hundreds of reasons to not have it here, but nothing that makes it impossible, so at least “we’d of like to have it at The Yards but we couldn’t work it out”,  would of been more than enough!

I love Camden yards. Easily my favourite baseball stadium. What does it is the warehouse beyond the right field wall. Makes it look old school. I like the name too. The Yards. It sounds like old school ball.

I didn't hear of any plane crashed coming back from South Korea so I'm guessing Penishead and Dingleburry are gonna be on tonight. Hopefully I can get a radio feed that syncs with the video
