rookie camp started yesterday

veterans camp starts Wednesday

 :)

and... since no one seems to feel the need to report on it, I finally went to their website. It appears NBCSW will broadcast 4 of 6 preseason games, still no word on the regular season...

With the season/preseason right around the corner I am ready for hockey. Sports Washington Chanel 846 on Comcast Mid-Atlantic and the aforementioned. Unless things have changed and MASN pick some up but Comcast changes sometimes. NHL Network too when applicable. Caps #9 in preseason power rankings the other day.
Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

Caps don't have the cap space to pay him the league minimum

I haven't checked in a while and I just did and my DISH network must have kissed and made up with NBCSN, because I now have that channel again.   :uh-huh:

saw a thing two days ago that he wasn't in town yet, then saw some of yesterday's media day and he was here. This definitely explains why he was a late show.

On the bright side, this means someone from Hershey will get some needed playing time up here.

Maybe we'll get to see McMichael.. The bummer is he's apparently not had anything done to cure his hip, besides "rehab".. Who knows what that even is or how long it'll take to heal.. "Week to week" oof..

Yep, I meant to look yesterday, ran out of time....

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/capitals/full-capitals-2021-22-season-schedule-nbc-sports-washington

most games are on the regular channel , only a few on the plus channel. I'm sure that will change, always does

Well, apparently I DO NOT have NBCSW or ANY regional sports networks avail on DISH....STILL! They are still fighting over contracts.

So...I have NO ability to watch about 90% of the games (at home)

Same goes for MASN and Nats baseball...but not like anybody wants to watch them right now.

Fucking suck ass DISH.  And I have really liked them for the last 6 years or so.  Much better than DirecTV.  Never had a complaint or issue with them ever...until this.

I called them and they gave me bunch of excuses why they can't offer and it's so expensive for them to offer and it raises everyone's programming costs....blah, blah, blah.
I told them DirecTV offers these channels for 9.99/month.  I'd gladly pay that or more to get them, but not even an option.

Might be switching soon.

hey rich, I'm really curious where you live where you don't have good/any service. You mentioned enough so I know the general area. But I'm curious exactly where. There's a few places out there where I've looked at property before, and lack of service would definitely be a deal breaker. Maybe send a PM, no need to tell the whole world. I don't mean exact address either, just street or neighborhood.

though depending on which way the Virginia election goes in November I might just be done with this state, there's a few other areas that have piqued my interest

Switch to DirecTV bro.. You're house is already setup for it. If I ever leave DTV it'll be to go back to Xfinity (cable) due to costs. As is, we get the EXTRA package. With Regional sports, whole home HD/DVR on 3 tv's it's like 130.00/month. I call and get a 45$ x 12 months discount every year. If they ever stop giving me the discount is when I'll be gone.

Only thing I don't like is the signal gets interrupted if a thunderstorm comes over. (Which is pretty frequent in the summer, but with the streaming and shit that comes with it you can usually NOT miss any programming with a smart tv or phone, etc.) But you probably have that same issue with Dish? They need bigger roof top dish's to get that damn signal though a rain cloud.  :raised-eyebrow:

I had DirecTV at one point...or maybe two.
I may end up doing that next week.  I looked at the prices/packages today.  Called the wife and warned her that the current DISH DVR maybe bye-bye soon so she better get her fill of all her damn crime drama CSI, Blue bloods, rizzoli & Isles, Bones, and every other damn crime show she has recorded.  I heard you can copy them OFF the DVR onto another drive, but you have to have the DIsh service in order to watch them.  Meh....Don't have any hockey recorded on the thing now so nothing else is sacred  ;D
