I left town Dec 20 and returned Dec 28.  The Caps postponed three of the four games while I was gone.  No wonder I couldn't find them on TV in Florida or NC.

Also...on a "lighter" note....they have him listed at 5'-9", 170lbs 


I think he might have had only one foot on that scale.  He and I appear to have a similar physique right now, and 170 aint getting there.

Dale Hunter is the only player in history with 1000 pts and 3000 PIM.  Dale was my favorite player at the time (and for a very long time).  Named a dog after him. 


Career stats of 1020 pts and 3565 PIM...which lands him second all time for the most PIM behind Tiger Williams with 3971.


Dale had 270 career fights.  Although, I don't remember him as a real heavyweight fighter...mostly a VERY pesky player who was always stirring the pot.  Great competitor.


When they demolished the old Cap Center....the Capitals gave Hunter the penalty box from there

technically, management pulled the home penalty box from the old arena and gave it to Huntsy at his sweater retirement ceremony, which was before the old Cap Center was demolished

as I recall, as I was at that game, they also gave him an suv and a horse trailer
