Liked that Eller/Hagelin line energy.
Overall, not a bad loss. Blues goalie got hot in the third!
That, combined with our 2nd P letdown, and Blues did good to capitalize.
Not upset, OR happy, either, with Holtz tonite. Too early.
Bright spots, IMO, were an overall good energy on defense.
Djoos, Jensen, even Orlov, all fairly solid!
Hagelin, Boyd, Eller, Dowd, some others, all gave good efforts.
Kuzy, DID, have that very attentive and quick outlet pass, leading to 1st goal by Boyd.
Rest of Kuzy’s game was nowhere near where it should be. His defense was very lack luster.
You will almost never see him involved in close action, puck battles, where even lighter physical contact is required to gain possession. Add to that, consistently abysmal, HIT numbers, every season, and you’ve got high trouble potential, if he’s unproductive!
You could make the argument that, some issues, due to his amazing talent gifts, can be overlooked!! BUT THEN, it’s got to be conditional on him, to excel, in an obvious manner, with the USE of those gifts, producing RESULTS.
In other words, he’s not much of a sympathetic creature in my opinion, given his current circumstances!! Period!
Disappointing to realize that Kuzy is left to watching the lower level forwards, produce all around him. He better pick it up. He CANT allow himself to be content with vanilla, average play. He simply has to BRING IT, NOW!! However, I’m still hoping for the guy!!
