Nisky was hit squarely in the back by #42 Greg McKegg and O'Halloran was staring right at the hit. That was a 5 minute major all day every day. NHL rules say a check to the back of an unsuspecting player is a major penalty.  There really is no minor version of this penalty. Boarding has nothing to do with what I am describing BTW.
