But remember, PP points do NOT add to the + however PK points DO add to the - <----a pk unit gets a + while the PP unit gets a - when the PK unit scores however a pp unit does NOT get a + and the PK does NOT get a - when a PP unit scores
Johnny Norris with alot of PP points maybe?

Yes probably so, but the PK points against would surely be nearly zero so that's not gonna be a real factor. Basically you'd get a minus if you were on the ice and the other team scored a shorty. That happens like 5 times a year maybe?
I looked it up. Caps have given up 2 SHG this year. No idea if Carlson was on for those. Likely for at least one I'd say as he is a main PP guy.
Carlson has 14 PP points, so those don't affect the +/-
He has 45 total points so 31 points at even strength
He is a +19 with 31 Even strength points. Don't know if that's really a measure of anything....other than he scores alot, for which I am grateful
By the way, my original post was not a knock on JQNC defensive abilities...I just thought leading the team in points that his +/- would be better. But then, the Caps do give up their share of goals so....meh.
He IS leading the team in +/- so....
He is having a great year....
