Title: Kuz back on the ice..
Post by: Mickstix on Monday November 26, 2018, 01:08:20 PM Eastern

Won't play, but at least he skated.. I imagine they'll evaluate how he feels afterward. But a step none the less.. Oshie on the other hand?

I don't expect Oshie back for a couple weeks at best. I don't know why they don't put him on IR now, this isn't his first conclusion and every time you get one it's worse. He was clearly concussed, it took him a few seconds to know where he was....

If the league was really trying to get rid of head hits this asshat would've had the same vacation that Willy got

The DOPs says they take injuries into account when handing out suspensions but we had 2 guys suffer concussions in that game on dirty plays and neither were suspended.
If it was against another team would have they been suspended.

The DOPS does not take into account injuries in determining whether supplemental discipline is warranted.  Only if it is determined the action in guestion warrants supplemental discipline will they consider the injuries in determining what the penalty should be.  So with respect to Oshie and Kuzy it determined that Oshie being thrown to the ice and Kuzy being elbowed in the chin did not warrant any punishment.  I think it is safe to say that if Wilson did either of those actions the determination would have been different.

Yea, they'd already decided nothing was going to happen, before they knew either one was injured didn't they? I mean, Kuz was out the rest of the game but Oshie didn't miss any time, since it happened so late.. They said all was good before we even played another game?  Wilson on the other hand would of had to serve hard time in a federal prison..  :-(

The fact that we all know that if Willy did that he'd have another vacation is what we are all upset about. Even the team knows this, they said so after a game last season. It gives the appearance that the league isn't really cracking down on head hits, only certain players for being too physical. The only good part with the Oshie incident is others outside of the DC market are starting to say as much too.

Actually they do take injuries into account. When Wilson got his 20 game suspension the injury was part of the formula.

Read 4Caps post again, bud.
It is totally logical!
Injury is a FACTOR, that can be considered, in determining the LENGTH of the suspension!
BUT, it first has to be judged a SUSPENDABLE offense by DOPS!

If it’s determined by DOPS to be LEGAL, then there is NO SUSPENSION handed down! Therefore, no suspension TIME, to have to be considered, injury or otherwise!!
