As a Canadian, Cherry is alright. He's rambling nonsense and getting shit wrong half the time, but he still does see it right a bunch of others. At the end of the day he's still such a hockey icon that I'm totally okay with him doing that thing until he's done. He's earned that right I feel. Another deflection and another soft play by Djoos and Connolly. Deflections are going to be a big thing against us this season, especially as teams settle into games with us and realize that we play good man on man D and we have a goalie with good first shot saves. The thing about us getting a target on our back is more teams are going to realize they can't play cute with us. Toronto has shifts of it, but even they realize gotta grind it out with our D-man playing clear the garbage in front of the net.Djoos is not playing well for the 2nd game in a row. His lack of physical strength is really showing.
We'll need to start playing "clear the man" from the front of the net more. And the ageless wonder Brooks Orpik (who somehow looks good this season) can't be the only one clearing the crease. Djoos needs to step up, Orlov too. All the D man really.

He did not act like he was on team that needed two goals in just about 60 secondsSo what. We lost out on a second or two. The other 2 defence pairing are getting lit up every game and that's your complaint.

He was matched up against Matthews most of the game and did a good job against him. Matthews line didnt score with Carlson on the ice. The other 2 pairing were on the ice. Carlson is the least of our worries yet you continue to rip him.
Try ripping on the players that deserve it.

I can't comment on this game as I have yet to watch it. Stupid freaking Dish network DVR'd it on the NHL channel I don't have instead of the sports package channel I DO have. I did record it last night on a replay but have not watched it yet.
