Wilson, Roy and Sandin are being listed as game time decisions for minor injuries. Not sure what’s wrong with Wilson and Roy, but Sandin only played in the 1st period last game because he hurt something. Chisholm is also being called a game time decision, not sure if that’s injury or illness because he has been a healthy scratch the past couple games.

Yea, Carbery's lost the room. We'll be having "team only" meetings soon, then after the Olympics they'll respond or he'll be fired. They should be looking to trade anyone they can. Wilson, Chychrun, Leonard would be the only ones off the table for me.

I’d keep the goalie tandem as well. They can only get better with a proper D in front of them.
I wonder if some of this has to do with management appearing ready to extend Carlson.

Yea, I should of added Thompson. Not sure on Chuck. He makes 3m for 2 more years. If anyone was interested, I'd at least listen. Not sure what's up, but they don't have any heart. Thinking Carlson could be the future can't help. lol

Let's face it. We simply stink. Last year was an aberration. This is basically the same roster except for DuBois being injured but does anyone think he'd really make any significant difference? There are too many non-producers on the roster as well as washed vets like Carlson and Ovie. When you're playing a guy who went 91 straight games without a goal, you obviously are lacking in either talent or judgment, probably both.
As discussed in other threads, they need to turn over half the defense corps and about 4-6 forwards. Younger, bigger, faster has to be the mantra.

Oof. Glad I quit when it went 2-0. Was about my bed time anyway, and i was ready to drift off.
Watched the 10 min condensed replay. Thompson was fighting his glove early, but still made bunch of good saves but definitely not his best night. The bounces were certainly going the Krakken's way. Caps missed 2 yawning empty nets in the 1st. No idea what TVR was doing most of the game...he was totally out of position on 3 Seattle goals, plus was down in the O-crease on Ovi's back during a scramble that then lead to Seattle breakaway for a goal. Carlson was slow - guy just skated around him to the outside for Goal #4, He some other very poor decisions that didn't lead to goals. BigMac made some mistakes too, but did use his size to take out 2 Krakken...while a 3rd scored with TVR watching. TVR only player on the ice that was -3. Gonna start calling him drum he gets beat so often.
About the only positive I saw was Leonard looks fantastic on the PP. Great pass to Ovi when he could have easily taken the shot. Leno should start every PP with Strome, Sourdiff, Chicky, Ovi.
Leno is a good passer and has great shot. The PP lets his skills shine.
Detroit lost at home last night, knocking them out of 1st place down to 3rd (Tampa Bay is now in 1st) Going into Detroit tomorrow for our next loss should be fun.

Wayne is about right I think. Half the d-core and 4-6 forwards would be nice. And I think Mick is right...this season is done. Caps are potentially 1 loss from being 2nd worst in all the east.
I'm certainly keeping Chychrun, and Roy has been good this year. Fever would be better if he had a reasonable partner, so he stays for me I think.
TVR is the 1st I'd lose, with Carlson close on his heels. I'd entertain any offer for Sandin as well. BigMac is going nowhere, but he's really just an emergency fill in....play maybe 10 games a year when someone else is hurt....probably less next year. Chisholm skates better than i thought....why he doesn't play over TVR now I can't figure. Haven't seen enough of him to really assess.
Wilson, Leno, Sourdiff, Protas, Strome are all keepers in my book. Ovi is untouchable...I think he will play 1 more year, but if they blow up the team who knows. I'm giving Ovi grace 1 more season, but okay if he decides to hang them up too. McMike stays unless someone is willing to give up something substantial for him.
Lappy, Milano, Dowd should be gone.
Dewey is a toss up, Beavy I could take or leave him, same with Frank - (happily accept a trade for these guys, or keep as 3/4 line guys at a bargain price)
Keeping both goalies.
I'd rather see the Caps bring up 3-4 guys from Hershey next year (AS WELL AS bring in talent from elsewhere) than to see TVR, Carlson, Dowd, Milano, Lappy, same ole same ole underperforming & old-aged guys back again. Hell, trade these guys NOW and bring up guys from Hershey to give them a shot. Lil Pro, Miro, Cristall, etc.

I'd honestly take Frank over McMike. He's a hustling/nothing. Skills like Beagle, cept he sucks at faceoffs and isn't as tough. lol They mostly all are Beagles tbh.. Even Protas. Was hoping we'd get lucky with a few and last year looked promising, but time always tells the tale. Leonard is my/our only "future" forward hope now, for being anything more than a mid line plugger.
