According to NHL dot com, the game is also televised on TNT, TRUtv, and HBOmax.
-
Sourdif has been activated from IR. Wilson remains on IR. Leason is being shown on the Hershey roster. Miroshnichenko is shown as still with the Caps.
-
WTF is with Wilson...I thought he was day to day like 7-8 days ago
-
I’ve not heard anything on what the injury even was. The way he fell it could be a couple things.
-
The lines are according to the Caps twitter account..
-
well i heard Carbs say there would be some changes but wouldn't go into it.
I see Sourdiff on the bench, so that's a plus at least.
Dowd with Ovi and Franks....seems like L1 is gonna get about 12 minutes of ice maybe.
Great Avs haven't won in 2 games first time this season. not holding my breath here
-
PP time
-
not surprised TVR is sitting. He wasn't good last game and he certainly doesn't have the speed or mobility for Avs
-
PP. Time to mix one! Those are like commercials, you don't miss anything. :raspberry:
-
PP looks so much etter with Leno and Chicky on the ice...they both very mobile
and haha Carlson almost gets beat for a shorty
-
Hey our PP NOT giving up a shorty is a win for us I think :)
-
:clown: :O=
:poop:
-
welp that didt take too long
-
I think Frank has decided he likes to play

There's a damn unicorn...PPG from Caps vs the BEST PK team in the league.
I like it leno and frank on PP1
-
Hey I heard Lappy was sacrificing a live chicken in the tunnel behind locker room today and Chicky came by and said ...."You gonna eat that heart?" :snicker:
-
nother pp . . .
-
Saying Wilson was "day to day" right after his injury was a disservice to the fans. :(
* Hell, I didn't even know they'd moved him to IR on the 9th. Im laser focused!! :raised-eyebrow: :snicker:
-
game tied at one after one
boys must’ve sacrificed a couple chickens
-
Hey us not allowing a goal on our 3 PP's sounds like a win to me
-
PP goal? What? Must of missed it. :raspberry: Looks like we may hang around for the ass beatin today! Usually just give away a period or two, knowing it's coming. Though, it is early still..

-
Miroshnichenko and Girard get offseting minors
4 on 4
-
Dang thought Miro drew one there. That started with interference then turns into holding on both players
-
4 on 4 should be good for the Caps speed :-|
-
nother pk . . .

-
We played like 80% of this game like we on the PK

FRANK
-
Frank wants to stay...dude has found something extra lately
-
Caps down 3-2 after two
-
Chisholm must suck at Defense or something? Dude can skate rings around TVR and handles the puck pretty well too.
* has played about half the games TVR has. 17-36. Chis 3 pts, TVR 6. Chis +1, TVR -6.

Caps lose 5-2

At least the score ended up closer to how the game was played. They should of had 8 or 9 goals. We can't even compete. Behind, multiple goals, we put up 3 shots for our "push back" in the 3rd period. :-|
Wednesday it is.. :(
-
Lindgren played a great game
Wednesday at 10pm

Oof. About what we expected. Caps really can not compete with Colorado. I mean they have more talent all the way around, couple of the best players in the league, the leading goal scorer and points guy, well coached, good goal tending and are firing on all cylinders this year. We only stand a chance to be in the game because this is hockey and you just never know how the biscuit is gonna bounce.
Honestly it really did look like we were just trying to kill off a penalty and survive the time until the penalty was over....but like the whole game. We were chasing the puck most of the game. We had some decent scoring chances that didn't go, but so did the Avs....about 8x as many.
Sandin looked bad, but this is not a situation he is gonna look good....his game is skating and moving the puck up, but when the other team is faster and he has to box out or heaven forbid fight for a puck behind his own net...or actually defend, he is gonna get exposed. He is a skill and stick check guy, not an outwork out-muscle the other guy. Carlson plays pretty much the same way despite his size.
I thought Chisolm looked good - skated well, etc. I didn't think he was that mobile. I'd play him over TVR any day. If you want to give TVR a game...sit Carlson - he looks like he needs rest. Carlson had a little more step at times yesterday (especially compared to previous game) but he just looks tired to me.
I thought Lindgren played pretty well. I wonder if they started him cause he more of a scrambler and figured that was needed knowing what we were gonna face.
-
Yep, I see nothing wrong with Chisolm.. Need to start cutting fat from this mediocre team. I'd protect 5-6 guys + Ovi/Carlson probably nobody wants. (Strome, Wilson, Protas, Leonard, Chychrun, Roy and Thompson) The rest of em' aught to be on the market/for sale list.. I'd also keep Frank over McMike if need be.. We have a bunch of hustle, with mid talent. Actually Protas could be sold as well, imo.
But, as usual we'll not do much of anything, then hang around the wildcard spots and earn shitty draft picks. :(

We agree completely. I might add Fehervary but everyone else is expendable. They need a BIG overhaul but I'm not sure if the FO gets it. I'm not sold on Carberry, either. I'd rather win with guys I never heard of than lose with the "fan favorites".

The Avs barely had to break a sweat. We just don't have the talent anymore. We didn't have it last year, either. We simply overachieved. Patrick should have three big words stuck on his office wall that he sees first thing every day: BIGGER YOUNGER FASTER.

Yea, Im a Fever fan too, but something's off with him lately. Nursing injury maybe.
