Bjorklund has been sent back to Hershey as Lindgren gets activated from IR. Trineyev is supposedly getting his 1st NHL start tonight, Milano will scratch.

PP is still a clown show w/o Leonard. :-( Probably gonna wish they hadn't shit away that extra point the other night. They already look like ass tonight. 2 duds on the PP in the 1st 10 minutes. Plus gave up a GA.
-
If they don't wake up to start the 2nd Im gonna take a refund on this one. Full on stinker mode tonight.
0-2 after 1. Getting outshot like it's our job 13-3, 2 came from our :poop: PP's

the Caps are giving up a 5-0 shutout

Carlson has said he’s not ready to retire and doesn’t want to be traded. He’d better melt the ice when he skates in the 2nd half of this season. I’m ready to say thank you for your contribution and move on.

Yup, just as I suspected.. Hope the stinks don't stick around long.. Till Tuesday!!
Carlson can stay, play. Just not at a stupid salary or as the 1D or 1PP.. He needs a reduced role..
-
Lots of warm poo
Surprised we actually broke the shutout and surprised I stayed for the whole game

Choir here...preach on Rev!
Take TVR to the pasture with you.
Although, honestly Carlson could probably hang on another couple declining years, but I just don't want that to be here. He will be 36 next month. I am sure the Caps will grossly overpay him for another 3 years and he will be nothing but an albatross. He certainly has been an integral part of this team for many years, but you have to be smart (for a change)
-
Hopefully management realize this is a business.. And Carlson aint the GOAT. I don't mind him on ice, but as I said, in a much reduced role and for about half what he's currently earning. He's still a decent PP2 QB. As long as he doesn't have to chase down and defend anyone. lol They can trade Sandin and TVR for something better, if they need to.
-
They will definitely resign him unless his salary demands are too high. I wouldn't resign him at all but if they do, I wouldn't go more than $3M/year. Carlson and his agent probably want at least twice that and hopefully they will just agree to disagree and let him shop the market. Maybe somebody is dumb enough to give him big money. I actually heard the NHL radio guys talking about Carlson as a candidate for the US Olympic team - that he could be a 7th or 8th dman. I can't believe that knowledgeable guys (some ex-players) think he is even an average defenseman at this point.
-
Agree on Carlson. I think the team is very much missing Leonard out there. He's become a real spark with his forechecking and physical play.
