Last game, JoeB said the Kings are the best road team in the NHL so far this year. :-|
-
Yep, Kings have been playing well.
-
Dowd up to line 3 tonight
Carlson will play in career game 1106 tonight, moving him to 2nd place all time for the Caps. He passes Backstrom at 1105, and is behind OV at 1509 games.

Caps up 1-0 after one

Somebody needs to explain why we need 6 and 74 on PP1. Just don't understand why he can't try someone with skill in Carlsons spot.
Good push that period. But as usual, good squeeze, minimal juice.

Carlson has been suspect as the PP1 quarterback for several years. He’s had trouble with a hard forecheck.

From NHL PR..
Alex Ovechkin scored his 442nd goal at Capital One Arena, which passed Gordie Howe (441 at Detroit Olympia) for the most regular-season goals scored at a single venue in NHL history.

100th win for Carberry

Solid game! Chucky was sharp! Just can't lose the special teams battle every single fucking night and expect many wins. We'll take that one though!
See what happens Wednesday!
-
Yes, pretty well played game. Nice to see Chucky play well and actually get a win. Our scoring is still anemic. 5v5 we are the bomb (as long as you only want 2 goals per game)
I was afraid we'd turtle too much and let them back in. 5 minutes into the 3rd I was like Damn there's too much time left.
Protas had some good looks, but damn he's jinxed or snakebit or something.
