Hey we have a better PP than the Canes :)
-
It appears van Riemsdyk is healthy scratch tonight.
-
Sure would be nice to replace some of our 3rd line talent with 1-2 line talent. We have like 5 forwards who should be on the 3rd line. lol
-
We're now 3 points out of a wildcard. I'll say it again, it gets to 5-6 I just don't see us coming back. Not this current lineup anyway. :-(
-
I think it’s still too early in the season to say that. Maybe wait until Christmas.

Unbelievable. :raspberry: Glad we finally got a PP goal. See what they can do Thursday in S. Florida.
-
Like I said...Canes are EASY to score against :raspberry:
Nice win. Boys came ready to play for a change and played hard 1st period and certainly out played them. Though we let up too much in the 2nd - nice to have Thompson in net. PP showed some same ole shit, and other times some good puck movement. Finally a PPG.
Thought the call on Dowd was horseshit, cuz they were not calling him for a penalty then after the bit of mayhem they call him, AND give Fever extra 2 for roughing. At worst we should have been even up on that.
Also was thinking at end of 2nd period this was the 1st game that Wilson had not really been noticeable at all, not that he was bad, just not noticeable - then he showed up a bit more in the 3rd.
As much as I like to rag on Carlson, he's played better the last several games - or at least appears to. He has certainly been active on the scoresheet (on our side ...for a change) :snicker:
There were a lot of chances both ways that didn't go. This could have been 8-1 win or a 4-3 loss if the bounces had gone differently. I'll take it. This season got much harder with Dubois going down. He gets grief for his lack of scoring, but he will be missed. We didn't have a real good option at 3C, much less an extra 2C lying around - especially a defensive minded one.
Schedule doesn't get any better in coming days: NJ, Kings, Oilers, Montreal, Tampa
-
Bro left out Fl. ::) :raspberry:
LT > Anderson was the difference. Carlson is fine 5v5, but has no business being on PP1. And Dubois IS missed. He'd be perfect if he was earning 5m instead of 8.5 x 6

I intentionally overlooked FLA as a win in the books already :raspberry: (Nah, they was supposed to be in that list.)
Carlson's O game has perked up recently, but he's lost a step and his style of play with stick checking guys as they go by (instead of just fucking hitting em) doesn't work as well when he's slower. I mean its to expected MOST players decline as they age. I agree, keep him off the PP. Chychrun is better puck mover, MUCH better skater, better shot, better speed, better all around. I'd put Fever out there before Carlson, but then it also depends on how many PK's vs PPs you get in a game too. Fever is better on the PK for sure.
Dubois out def hurts - maybe we find some magic and manage to tread water without him, but it feels like we are doing just that - barely staying above water much too often.
