I wasn’t overly concerned with that game. What was concerning was the power play.

Sucky special teams to start the season is becoming a thing.. Guess tomorrow I'll see if Monumental+ works. And where's Lil?? She's never missed the opener+ has she?
Oh, and Ovi's never scoring again. :'(

Although that Leonard goal technically was not PPG......effectively it was. It was scored as a result of the PP
Protas really looks good. Leonard has looked good as well. I didn't expect all that much from him but they are giving him a real shot and he is noticeable on the ice. He makes some mistakes but he does hit people a lot and he is noticeable in the play.
Fever has been a beast too. Injury doesn't seem to have slowed him down at all.
Willy is a beast. I wish the league hadn't neutered his style of play ....imagine if he played fully unleashed.
Ovi. Oof. He looks like he's not ready. I recall carbs kind of deflecting when asked about Ovi's preseason performance. Not really worried about him...he will get there and find ways to score
Thompson has looked excellent. That's gonna be critical
I like Carbs is limiting Ovi's time and Carlson and others giving looks to some others
like to see more from Dubouis, Lappy, Mcmike, but like the special teams, not too worried about anything with only 1st 2 games played so far

Don't think he got any ice in the 3rd? Same/similar the 1st game. Don't think Carbs trusts the 3rd line (ie: Lappi) very much. I imagine it won't be long until Lappi is scratched for Milano. McMike 3C and possibly Milano or Leonard at 1wing. If that line continues to struggle that is.
-
Leonard and Lappy had two shifts in the 3rd for total of about 1:30 of ice time each..
