We’ve been told for over a month tonight’s game will be on TNT, but Caps dot com says it’s on monumental.
-
Its for sure on TNT. Possibly Monumental as well?

NHL dot com says TNT and HBO MAX

Lines are based on yesterday’s practice, especially PP2. I’ve not yet seen an update from this mornings skate.
-
Wait? There's a thread before noon? Must have been that 2nd cup of coffee :raspberry:
-
Almost time!! Where's the Lass from Surrey?? Haven't seen much of her this offseason.. :(
-
PP time
-
Didn't see when, but Ovi was off the ice before the PP ended.. They gonna shorten up his PP time this year?

that’s twice the Caps should’ve had a 5 on 3
-
0-0 after one, Caps still have 1:13 of PP to start the 2nd
-
Eh, not a bad 1st. Probably need to score on one of these PP's.
-
Just got home now.

Team lacks electricity. Only one I've really noticed is Leonard and he only played like 3 minutes in the 1st. Not sure about the 2nd. Anyway, pass out the cocaine at intermission Carbs. They need it. lol

Other than a shitty PP, poor PK, not being able to score and little to no forecheck, we look pretty good! :)
Saturday night it is..
-
Caps lose 3-1
only 81 games left to turn this around
-
Thought they played ok, not great.
PLD - my favorite from last year played lousy and was MIA most of the night.
Leonard - thought he played pretty well. Still worried that he flails around a bit with his stick in one hand.
Carlson - actually thought he played really well - after all it is a contract year.
Sourdif - ok, but nothing special.
Lappy - looked good.
Willy - just a beast!
On to the next one!
-
You can't make virtually no changes to a roster that was manhandled in the playoffs by Carolina who, in turn, was toyed with by the SC champs. I don't see much hope for anything special happening with this crew. They'll have trouble scoring and the fact that they brought back the same six defensemen is quite disappointing.
-
Im always quick to jump on the negative train, but there was literally nothing about last night that inspired hope. No energy, no urgency, nothing. Willy looks like a beast and that was pretty much the end of it. Leonard threw a few good follow through checks. Carlson did look pretty good. That's really not much to go on though. Our subpar GM is gonna catch up with us pretty fast I think.
-
Well that wasn't fun. Mick was right...no electricity. Looked like the last game of the year when you know you are not making the playoffs rather than 1st game of the year.
I thought we creating more scoring opportunities than Boston, just nothing to show for it.
Thompson made some very good saves when he needed to several times. 0-5 on the PP is ugly.
I thought Lenny and Lappy were fine. Little surprised to see Lenny on PP, but they sure are expecting something great from him I guess.
Holding call on Dylan was BS - led to PP goal that was a dagger 38 seconds after we finally scored.
Dubuis, Protus, Willy were the forwards in the play that lead to Willy goal...was that just a line change overlap or did they intentionally put those 3 out together? That's a lot of beef right there...almost 700lbs on that line.
Hope its more fun for Cap fans next couple games.

Oh yeah....and...
the sky is falling :raspberry:
