Last game Willy started on line 1 but was quickly swapped with Protas. Tonight Protas starts on line 1.

It’s no wonder TVR has no goals this year …. he can’t -put a shot on net.
-
Vladar pitching a shutout!! :goalie:

As that mess went to commercial McMike was escorted to the penalty box. I must’ve missed what he did as he got his stick hacked out of his hands.
-
horse shit calls. The matching minors make sense, but not the PP for Calgary
-
Of course they somehow end up with a Powerplay after slashing and cross checking McM?

It was a bit warm in these parts today, but not enough to cause the crappy ice downtown.

Not a big deal. Unless the Caps lose every remaining game they are in the playoffs. Home ice would be nice, but another presidents trophy isn’t necessary.

Except that the Caps, on balance, have played better and have a better record on the road than at home. It isn't at all clear that home ice advantage would be worth much to us in the playoffs.
My feeling about the playoffs is this: I don't expect the Caps to win it this year, though I could possibly see them making a run at it under the banner of "win it for Ovie." To me, this season would be characterized as a success if, say, the Caps advanced to the Conference finals, even if they didn't play for the Cup.
-
Thompson looking very average of late. On that second one he's got to get out of the paint. There was nobody for the Calgary guy to pass to so you get 3-4 ft out of the net and he's got nothing to shoot at.
-
I will be happy if the Caps simply win their last playoff game this year
