I’ve got conflicting reports on the top two lines at this juncture. Strome and Dubois are the questions. Will have to wait until game time to be sure.
and it appears Frank is still in
Dubois at 1C, Strome at 2C
-
Dubi is playin with Ovi and Pro.
Just looked at the schedule. Couple more weeks and we're off nearly 3 weeks for that "4 Nations" bull :poop: ?? How stupid. ::)
Rich, how's the view from the nose bleeds?? :snicker: Have fun with your kids bro!! :hearts:

It figures the second I step out the Caps score a goal, lol. At least the good guys are ahead. 😆
-
NHL dot com says that’s a Duhaime goal
-
I wanted chychrun...
...but I'm glad you guys got him. The more threats you have is what's opening up more opportunities for everyone.
This team is fun to watch!!
-
That goal doesn't happen without chychrun, but congrats to duhaime on the goal!!

Good smooth game for the Caps, but against a really bad team. That's OK, we needed that for a little confidence builder.
I think we have put to bed the decision on the 12th forward for the rest of the year. Unfortunate for Miro and Vrana, but I think Frank is here to stay for a while. The kid can shoot!
I'd like to see McMike start scoring again and not have him slip back into just an average guy.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him a healthy scratch, here before long, if he doesn't pick it up.
-
Booyah. Rich goes to the game and its 3-0 wash.
good times...we literally one row from the back wall and the back wall was roped off cuz the press box was there with the stadium PA guy. got a wink and wave from him...scrawny little fella with a voice that don't match.
Way up there, but honestly not a bad view for the game and the crowd is way rowdier up in the cheap seats...my kind of people. Not the most exciting game ever but good times had by all. Back to good ole VA by 10 pm or so. I think the game ended by 9:30. good for us old guys....them two youngins wanted to go get Crepes downtown or some shit
Oh...the spicey Nashville chicken sandwich is the bomb, but damn its hot up in them rafters after eatin that sum bitch

Interesting that the Caps now have the largest lead of any of the NHL division leaders, especially considering that out West, the closest pursuers have games in hand on the Division leaders, whereas that is not true in the Metropolitan.
The Caps certainly don't feel like a clearly superior or dominant team. I don't think that, at this point, anyone considers them to be any kind of favorite (or even a top contender at this point) for the Stanley Cup. Maybe that suggests that there is no dominant team right now, and the playoffs will be a total crapshoot, unless some team emerges in the next couple of months. Of course, Boston's recent experience demonstrates that "dominant team" is a mirage in the NHL under any circumstances.

We have a couple areas, imo, that are Cup worthy. Goaltending, Offensive D, Transition/Rush O.. We need to find our forcheck again though. Can't play for minutes on end, in your own zone, every time you get a goal or the other team has a "push back". We seem to not be able to match other teams push and don't really have much of a push ourselves. At least not lately. We get hemmed in our own end too often.
Not even sure what they need to do to improve those areas, but w/o a dominant good forecheck and ability to relive pressure in our own zone, we'll be vulnerable.

I would add offensive screening to that list. I think Wilson and Protas are elite at that. Other than that, I wouldn't quibble with your list, Mick. To me, the biggest surprise on your list is the goaltending. It does look like Thompson is in the groove right now.

Maybe Carbs and the team have been lulling us ... and everyone else into a false sense of insecurity. ... :snicker:

You must’ve picked up an extraordinarily potent batch this week.

I did! :raspberry: :snicker: Still doesn't change the fact that the stupid ass tx is gonna last 3 fucking weeks.. Right in the middle of the season. :-(
-
The LEAGUE has a 12 day break. The tournament itself is 8 days. (checking my math) 12 is less than 14, which means less than 2 weeks. A typical oylimpic break is about 2 weeks. Itsnot that big a deal. Plus, this counts as the bye week that teams normally would’ve got. A week is still 7 days, right?

My bad trusting a printer. Had our last game on Feb 4., next page starts up at Feb 22. 8-0 Tecknoledgie
