It does not appear the Caps have put Willy on IR. It’s kinda pointless anyway right now unless they need to call up someone from Hershey.
and.. the Leafs have a couple key injuries as well. Most notably Matthews.
-
Damn, we have 10 days off after Tuesday's game? Is that the whole league or just us getting extra, before/after the ASG?
-
it’s the Caps bye week plus the all star break

I should be amazed that the NHL didn’t make the Boston vs Canes game a national broadcast. But this is the NHL.

Be cool if Mantha scored a goal this month. :raspberry:

I didn’t see the so called hold against Aubé-Kubel that gave the Leafs the PPG.
Not that I didn’t see the play, or the replay.

goalie change, Lindy in

Oh well. We can't score anyway, so 2-1 was probably all they needed. Perfect example, Eller enters the zone 3 on 2, doesn't see a sweet pass/wide open play, so turns it back toward the blue line to "setup".. Kuzy does the same thing.
Lots of people call for Lavi to be fired and I really didn't think it'd make a difference, but if he can't adjust something to start producing some goals, they might as well find someone new. New philosophy.
-
What a beating! 2 was all they needed. lol Team needs to hold a garage sale.
-
Caps looked good in the 1st, complete shit show after that
-
Yeah, that was pretty embarrassing, but sadly I was expecting an ass-whooping in Toronto.
I agree with Mick - it was pretty much over at 2-1, and at 3-1 was just a coffin nail with more to follow. I watched the remainder on FFWD.
When we play our very best hockey, we can compete with decent teams for a stretch, but we can't maintain that for 3 full periods much less multiple games or a long portion of the season.
I thought the A-K penalty hold was a phantom also. I even rewound it a couple times to see if it was earlier in the play.
Can't wait to see what this team looks like after the long all-star break and bye week. Maybe we can get Willy healthy and have enough practice to try and get some forward lines going.
Maybe a Leprechaun will ride in on a unicorn and shit gold coins for me too.

Say hello to the Keystone Kaps. :snicker:

TBH, 20-30 minutes of solid hockey is about all this roster is capable of. And as long as Lavi keeps playing musical chairs with the forward lines, they're not going to improve on their goal production. He needs to put together a (proven) line or two and leave them the fuck alone. I'd start with Ovi - Strome - Sheary. Every game he tries something new. Someone gets injured and instead of just putting a player in that spot, he reshuffles the entire lineup. He's a dope.
