The Caps are saying Orlov is a game time decision. If he can’t go Lucas Johansen will, and I’d expect different lines.

Is it just me, or does Ovi look better than he has done for a while?

Chuckie Sideburns (Lindgren) has looked good tonight... how's he been on the season? About as good as he was last year/as I was hoping for (for him and the caps)?

There is a difference of opinion here.
I, personally, prefer Lindy to Special K. Lindy is much quicker and far more agile, albeit to my untrained eye. He has little flashes of a young Holtbeast.......
He can be a bit sloppy and erratic, but i think he's an upgrade on the averageness that we've had the last few years.
Huge potential, imho.
Oh, and just to add, whilst K might be solid and reliable and keep us in games, i think Lindy is the one who could steal a few games for us.
Oh, and one more thing.....if it comes down to shootouts, I'd prefer Lindy to K eveery time.
I think that's it.....

Everything considered, what a fantastic rersult! Well done fellas! Ovi scored. YAY!Played our so called "back up" goalie, who stood on his head a couple of times.
Considering how depleted our team is right now, i think that was outstanding!
-
Just out of interest, who's this new PP coach we have now? :P
-
Glad to see the boys finally score 5. Too bad they actually needed 5 to win though. Damn but that McDavid guy is something else. Fucker just skates right up the middle and drives the net. Sure as hell did not want to go to 3v3 OT with them
Good to see Kuzy finally wake his dead ass up. See what happens when you shoot the puck! Nice to see Strome get a couple too. Always nice when Ovie scores (too bad it happens so rarely) :snicker:
Lindy has some spectacular saves....and some not so spectacular moments. He is very quick and athletic, but he seems to go down too quickly sometimes. Not faulting him really - Oilers just had some good puck luck on couple of occasions and puck went right to their sticks and they certainly have some scoring talent.
I'm all for taking some of the Backy contract money (since he should retire end of this season) and spending it on a 25 year old Strome for a couple-three years. He's got good size and plays both ways. Wins face offs and has some scoring talent. Not sure why Chicago passed on him after last year. They got plenty cap money to afford him. Curious as what went on there - maybe both sides just wanted loose.
Hope they bring another 5 spot Wednesday.

It's fun to watch! He was on fire last night! Don't know if you saw the "almost" 360 goal or the crossbar hit. Could of had a hattrick easily. But he was skating like a 30 year old, made at least 2 "superstar" caliber plays with the puck. The blind/between the legs assist to Kuzy is probably the only one the highlights will show. I think he and Kuzy (and Strome) may of been motivated by all the McDavid/Draisaitl hype. (And rightly so, those guys are good and fast as shit)
