The only reason I’m worried about Dylan is it leaves the team short handed. The D looked pretty damn good out there without the Norris candidate.
-
The candidate blew a wheel in the 1st 15 seconds of the game that led to the breakaway
He managed to get that in before getting injured. He’s had a bad year defensively (worse than normal)
Pretty well played game by the whole group. Nice to get scoring from the youngins
Kuemper had a good game
I’ll take it
See how we fair against the Canes
Go Caps

Missed most of the game. Got home from the UCF/Cincinnati game sometime in the 2nd. Saw Beck score, passed out at intermission. Good to see Kuemper get the shutout!! Any word on Oshie? Saw a replay of Carlson going into the boards. Didn't look terrible, but ya never know, those boards are hard.. Never saw or heard what happened to Oshie. Secondary scoring continues to fuel the team. Unfortunately that's not sustainable. Kuzy, 0 goals..
-
Post-game Lavy said both are lower body and being evaluated...which could be anything, but to me worse than Carly just tweaking a shoulder or head hitting the boards. Looks like he kind of stretched that groin a bit. Who knows. I never saw anything with Oshie. May was saying at 1st intermission how BAD the ice was and how many guys were taking tumbles because of it.
Caps played pretty well without them both, but two guys short on the bench is tough on old guys.
Very well played game and Caps deserved the win, but again....against a 50/50 team. We'll see how we do against the Canes and Vegas - both winning teams near the top of their division.

Kuemper's best game by far. He was very solid. Carlson should take plenty of time to make sure he's OK.:) I guess we'll see Lindgren in the VGK game. Speaking of goalies, between 1955 and 1962 Glen Hall played 503 STRAIGHT GAMES! He's #28 on the all time consecutive games played list and that in an era where there were no masks. There really is something a bit wimpy about today's athletes.

Back in the day, pitchers would pitch the entire game and be in the batting lineup, even for double headers.
Remember when Holts said he could play every game, just like the rest of the team did? His game dropped off. When he realized he needs a night off now and then his game got better.
