The Caps' organizational mantra is, it isn't how many shots you get, it's how many quality chances you get. It frustrates fans sometimes when a guy with a decent look passes it up to try to get someone else a premium look -- but that is what they are coached to do.

Just looking at the stat sheet and noticed that Wilson had 23:28 minutes of ice time the most of any forward by over 2 minutes and Carlson was the only player to have more ice time with 26+ minutes. That is crazy, he had over 4 and half minutes on the PK and 2 and half minutes on the PP. At ES Ovie and Kuzy had more ice time. It just shows how important Wilson has become to the team. That contract he signed last summer which a lot of people around the league ridiculed is a bargain and another great move by BMac.
