Title: Fan Fest
Post by: RVACaps on Monday June 25, 2018, 03:50:51 PM Eastern
Hello All,
As my Name (RVA) suggests, I am from Richmond, Virginia. I will be attending Fan Fest this year for a chance to get my family's photo with the Cup and check out the Development Camp. This will be my first visit to Kettler Iceplex! I could really use some help with the logistics of parking from some of you local DC/Arlington fans! I imagine the event will be overwhelmingly popular, since the Cup will be there. I plan to drive and park, rather than take the metro...I have a 4-week old infant and the metro doesn't suit us. Can anyone give me some feedback including where to park, cost of parking, convenience of parking, etc.? The online info says parking will be limited. I'm trying to figure out when to get there. GPS is giving me a drivetime of 2.5 hours. Is parking expected to reach capacity by the start of the event (10am)? If so, are there any other parking options close-by? Regarding photos with the Cup-are they charging for the photo? How will we receive our photo? What is the earliest time we may start standing in line for a photo? Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!

Michael

Kettler is on the top floor of Balston, it's a shopping mall. It has a metro stop under it. There is plenty of parking so that really isn't an issue. As you say, it's going to be crowded. I'd suggest getting there 2-3 hours early. There are plenty of restaurants within a very short walk too.
