OV is a game time decision, upper body. Lindgren is expected to get the start.
-
I guess I'll watch, even if Ovi is a scratch.. Gonna need the bourbon and the other thing to make it though. :uh-huh:

You sure your girlfriend is up for the other thing?
-
Morning chaps.

Bro, it was her idea! :snicker:
How's it possible we can't even field a full team?? Teams that have been eliminated should have a roster expansion (If that's the reason) till the end of the season. We have a bunch of guys who have no business adding up any more minutes.
-
Is it really that difficult to call?
-
Truck race at Bristol starts in 15 minutes.. Dirt race unfortunately, but it'll still be better then watching this. With Ovi out there's literally nothing good that can happen here. lol
-
I'm finding it hard to get up for this one. Without Ovi, there seems little to cheer for.
It'd be nice to see some of the other guys step up.
-
If it means the Hens miss the playoffs, I’m ok with the Caps losing this one
-
:lmao:
At least they done it quicker this time.
-
Oh joy. Another pppp
-
Without Ovi to distract them and Oshie crashing the net, our pp is anaemic.
-
GOOOAAALLLL
STROME
:raised-eyebrow:
-
i'm liking this Strome fella.

two to two after two

Nice to see a bit of compete in our guys.
-
Nice competitive regulation loss would be perfect.
I got money on the under (5.5) or else I'd put up the sure death goalie emoji.
-
looks like Willy might have a dance here shortly
-
YAY!
:snicker:

I wonder if it's a salary cap thing? I thought we got rid of enough salary that it wouldn't be a problem, but maybe the one callup was all we had room for, and more forwards ended up not able to play than we expected.
-
Hershey is in their playoffs right now, not something you want to pull talent from when the Caps aren’t in the playoffs

Ask and ye shall receive.
That's the problem with taking the under. Once Florida got the one goal the Caps pulled the goalie and there's the 6th goal.
-
Cats won, Islanders are about to, which puts the Hens in the 3rd wildcard spot
-
I can't say I'm too upset over this one.
i'm glad our boys put up a fight, but i'm okay with the result.
Night night chaps.
-
Damn empty netter. :raspberry: Thought we were gonna fuck up and win there for a minute. Think we had 2 shots on goal in the 3rd?
Yea, salary cap, roster, etc. should all go away for teams that are mathematically eliminated, like it does once the playoffs start.
I didn't think the AHL playoffs started for another week or so?
-
And with Buffalo and Ottawa winning, that officially puts them ahead of us in the standings for the season. The uncertainty in the Caps' draft position is now down to 3 teams: Detroit, St. Louis, and Vancouver. We'll finish somewhere between #8 and #11 in draft position going into the lottery.
And the team closest to us, Vancouver, wins their game to pull ahead of us in the standings!!! The #8 position is becoming more and more a possibility.

I watched the game on Ffwd…
Two bright spots in this game are…
Strome continues to score and generate chances and Willy continues to crash the net…and score.
Oh and a third…Caps lose and help Panthers ahead of Hens.
Although allowing a goal in a tie game with a minute left is pathetic but we really did have nothing to play for. Cats really did need it so I’m happy with this result.
Caps outplayed them for one period which is sadly typical.
Goaltending is suspect. It was nearly a tie at the end but Lindy was beaten about 6 more times with legit shots ringing the iron or cross bar.
Sure hope Ted is watching and planning for new coaching next year

Could’ve sworn I heard something about their playoffs starting already, maybe it was just that Hershey has clinched a playoff spot.
Didn’t the AHL use to wrap up their playoffs about the time the NHLs started?.. I guess it’s been awhile since I paid attention to the AHL schedule.

The AHL regular season concludes this coming weekend.
