Hope the Caps play at decent Caps level and not at the Devil's level, which is what we tend to do.


Figuring after the last game, we should be better ready to NOT do that.

Did you hear Leonsis last week saying he fully expects Ovie and Backy to never play for another team their entire careers and wants the two of them to remain ambassadors for the Capitals after they retire.  I paraphrase, but that's basically what he said.

Yep, I heard it.  Encouraging this day and age.  Ovi may not be worth $10m/yr on the ice in years to come, but he has certainly been the face of the franchise and fulfilled the Cup destiny here.  NOT THAT WE ARE THROUGH with just the one, but it would be nice to see him play here his whole career.  He's worth the 10m in marketing and to the NHL.  Ted should get a kickback from the league on Ovi's salary  8)  or at least a reduction in his cap hit.

What the hell happened to the pregame show?  Is there no pregame tonight?  I saw the Wizards show on instead, and now it went blank on the stream.  It was definitely NBCSWA channel too. Anyone have a guide to see if normal pregame is on tonight?

the Comcast guide has it on the plus channel,


and now that the commercials are over I can verify it is indeed on NBCSW+

Thanks.  The stream showed the Wizards show for about a minute and then nothing.  They just this second as I type this switched on the correct pregame.

Another questionable call on the Caps. I played that back and it appeared Subban's stick helped that puck go over the glass.

Oh yeah, when you type Happy  Birthday it replaces it with that graphic. If you want the words instead you have to use two or more spaces between Happy and Birthday.

I watched the game late.
Good to see the boys bring it.
Love to see Backy and Ovi enjoying the game.
Loved seeing the double shift and them score at the end of the period too.  Camera caught Reirdon with a little smile there too like..."yep...I did that...knew these two guys were fired up for each other and let them go play"
I just rewatched the highlights from this game and the Tampa game and I love how these guys come together after a goal.  I mean we know Ovi gets excited when he scores and always shows it, but just watching the reaction of guys like Oshie and really everyone when someone scores who doesn't frequently.  Watch Oshie's reaction when D scores from the point...jubilation and skates right to the guy.
I mean I know all teams do this, but this Caps team really does appear to embrace each other's success.  Nice to see.
