lol.. Sorry, couldn't resist.. Great new site! Hope I get a chance to hang out during a game! I honestly felt Barry would be gone by now, but he's held em' together and they don't look half bad lately! Maybe they'll draw me back in..

I've been a Trotz supporter, since he arrived. The start of THIS season, by it's very nature, set up for all of us fans, a situation where things had been stripped down enough, and, thus, would give us more raw answers, because the overall team performance, was much more dependent on EACH INDIVIDUAL, having to do their part, both coaches and players! Illuminating much brighter, the deficiencies, or successes of all involved!
Just remember at the start of the season, there were SO many deficiencies exposed, so convoluted, that you couldn't even define where to BEGIN the problem solving process! By the 15-game mark, I started to think Trotz was losing the locker room, as well! NOW, there is no argument SOMETHING has changed! The question is if it's here to stay for any length of time through this season! Seasoned Caps fans, are correct to be suspicious, and slow to be "drawn back in", as your post well states! I say this is a GOOD thing, but in the same breath, I absolutely have to give Trotz a lot of props, for the growth that has, at least, occurred, right before our eyes, ever since the bad Colorado loss in Nov!
I'm not going to even entertain playoff hopes at this point, in any meaningful way! Don't get me wrong, I feel we are a playoff caliber team, right now, I'm just not gonna dwell on it, because I'm just in the here and now with the caps, feeling grateful for the recent advances, and relieved that we're not that crap-production, of a hockey team, that we were in early October. Just kinda realizing that we have come a LONG way, in a short period of time!

My apologies, but I discovered a bug. I'm not sure if it was there before I installed two great features last night. I've been working on this for 12 hours straight.
You'll see the cool updates soon. I did a revamp of how the Karma works and I also added some cool animated and larger emojis.

Thanks, ArJ, but no need to recoup posts (of mine)!! You've got plenty on your plate and doing a fine job! Thanks for the hard work! I've never been a software guy, but I've tinkered enough to know coding and bugs, etc. will drive you nuts if you let it!
Rush, yea I don't have a problem with Trotz in general.. Just that after 3 years of "stacked" teams in the playoffs failing, I didn't really see a path for success with this current team/management, once the real dancing begins. Just figured it was as good a time as any to cut bait and rebuild with as much "new" as possible. Im glad he was forced to play young guys this year and he seems to have adapted pretty well. Now if they can force him to adjust to situations "in game" during the playoffs? Time will tell.. ;)

I enjoyed the challenge. I got the Karma system back up. The Emojis I may try again in the middle of the night one night soon. Or, I might try adding them manually. The installer I used to speed the process of installing the cool emojis obviously screwed something.
I will occasionally start taking the board down in the late hours when I need to do some more complex things. I have to backup both files and database and shut down the site in case something goes wrong. By shutting down I don't risk losing posts in case I have to restore.
Something I did last night made the system reject all posts with either emojis or images in them.
The Karma thing is pretty cool. I think the way it's setup now is cool and makes it very easy to see who liked or disliked a post in many different ways. CLick the link in the news at the top of the home page to see the details.

Unlike the other site, where it went down and nobody knew what was going on, or for how long. Sometimes weeks....
