No clue.. Guess they figured it would heal itself, but this seems like an awful long time (to wait) given today's medical diagnostic equipment/technology. :huh:

But conversely, when a player is on LTIR with a large contract his team has a lot of flexibility in bringing multiple players up (say, to cover for shorter-term injuries) or making a temporary move for a vet with the exemption the contract provides. With a $1M contract, about all you can do is replace him with a single Hershey callup.
This is a BIG opportunity for Jonas Siegenthaler. Bowey looks to be playing well enough that he is in the process of cementing the 3rd RHD role. That means any juggling will be on the left side; i.e., Siegenthaler and Johanson, rather than Lewinsky/Hobbs.
