Kinda quiet tonight. I’m bummed that I couldn’t make it up to Dallas this year for the game.
-
GOOOOAALL van Riemsdyk
-
I’ve only seen one hockey game in Dallas, years ago I went down once a year for Skins vs Cowboys
and the ballpark in Arlington is the only one where I’ve had a guy selling daiquiris in the stands
-
going in to this I figured Holts would either have the game of the season or a game to forget, I didn’t expect to see a goalie battle
-
Been decidin if I wanted to post and jinx it or stay quiet.. So, the jinx is on! :raspberry:
Amazing how a couple nice shots can change the view. Only thing different then what they've been doing is those couple finding corners and net. Glad VV rebounded from that soft, called back goal. Hope he doesn't have anymore lapses. :cross:
-
Looks like we know how to beat him. His D isn’t helping him out either.
-
Carlson knocked out a couple of Benn’s chicklets
-
Nice pk.
Connor McNugget goal!!
-
GOOOOAAAALLLLL
BACKY
-
Backy!
Who these guys?
-
kinda feel bad for Holts, but he isn’t the same goalie as when he won the cup
-
shutout for Vtec!!
-
No jinx here! Finally a good game from the boys.. VV with the shutout!! Night night!
-
Good to see the boys wake up for a change. Team looks a lot better when all their shots go in. I swear hockey is the most fickle and luck biased game there is. Just a matter of bounces sometimes. I know hard work and effort has a lot to do with creating chances, but sometimes the bounces just don't go your way. And then....sometimes they do.
Dallas D did not look very good, but neither did Holtby. (I see they pulled Holtby after 2nd. 5 goals in 2 periods is kinda rough on the GAA). I did not see the game only the 5 minute condensed highlights so really hard to judge.
Did the Caps really dominated the game or did Dallas just not play very well?
Nice to get a couple PP goals too, but did the Caps change anything to get there or just get their due for a change?
Nice shutout for Vitek....he's looked better than Sammy the last few weeks.

Did it Not look like Snively tipped the TVR goal (3rd goal)? Game summary shows it as TVR goal, but sure looks like Snively got the stick on it.

Had lucky timing and went to the game - nice arena and outstanding ice-girls! Caps played their best game in a long time - had their legs and skated really well. Stars looked terrible and Holts had a very rough night. Hopefully it was a confidence boost.
It did strike me how little contact there was and neither team had any interest in physical checks - seems to be every game now is that way. Boring.....

NHL.com was screwy with official scoring the whole night, I’ll double check
official scoring is accurate, if they haven’t changed it by now that’s it
