Title: Hello
Post by: Caps17201 on Thursday July 18, 2019, 06:07:10 PM Eastern
Could not find a heading for introductions and possibly nobody does this? But just wanted to say that I recently moved from Eastern Pennsylvania where I could only get the Flyers games on the tube, except for games on the NHL network. Now I am living just over the Maryland border in Chambersburg and can get the Capitals and Penguins games only on Comcast Mid Atlantic. The Penguins are out. But 846, NBC Sports Washington, will get me the Capitals games as I have looked it up. Maybe there is another station but I still get the NHL Network. I know hockey, as I have been a fan for a long time but am not too familiar with the Capitals organization but I hope to learn more. I may even have to buy a Capitals hat. I had actually parted ways with the Flyers a long while ago. I hope the Caps go far into the playoffs this year as I see they have a lot of their good players back and have seemed to have made some good acquisitions. I may not have too much input but will try to check in once the season is in swing and I look forward to some good hockey this season.

Feel welcome to chime in wherever.  Off-season can be a bit slow but there’s always someone around 😎

I had thought about adding a new member introduction page, but every other forum I belong to such pages don't get a lot of use. So, as DC said just chime in where ever. We don't have a rules page either. Basically it's The Rules of Kindergarten, treat others as you wish to be treated and clean off the toilet seat after you p...  . There is no language filter either, there is a time and place for everything....

Ok, I understand and have been around all kinds of forums since early 2014. I never brake the rules and I also understand that on SOME forums you have to be rather thick skinned. I like hockey, baseball, football and NASCAR.

NASCRAP......   I Used to be a die hard fan, but, just like millions of other former NASCAR fans, I have no interest in heat racing unless it's at the local dirt track, and the France family is too stupid and stubborn to see that.

I used too spend four days at RIR twice a year, basically living out of the truck for the long weekend. It was the truck series on Thursday night, Bush on Friday, and Cup on Saturday. I wasn't alone either, there were thousands of others doing the same thing. The few times I only went to the Cup race, I went down on Saturday with friends, in a 10-15 vehicle convoy at 7:00am, for the 7:00pm race, that's a lot of drinking, and RIR would let you sleep it off in the parking lot until they kicked you out Sunday morning when they ran trash detail. But, Richmond is a great place to see a race.

Pocono Raceway, Long Pond, Pa. had the same season seats for the two races for years, camped Dover for the entire weekends and Talladega. Good times, hot girls, met some racers. Some dumb rules now. I watch, disgustedly sometimes, but I still watch.

By the way, I cannot seem to be able to locate the “like” for a post?
