Heard from Lavi at morning skate Oshie is "day to day" WTF ever that means these days. All injuries are day to day until they end up on LTIR ::)
-
Day to day to get back, day to day to get injured again. Oshie is done bro. Last year he hurt himself raising his arm. This year skating. :(
-
Morning chaps.
Not sure Ill last very long tonight.

Lol. Fucking onetime backhander upstairs. Not in a million years could one of our guys do that. :clown: :poop:
-
Da fook?
What was that like 6 scoring chances to one?
And that is where Lindy is leaky - way up top from in close.
Not that that was Lindy's fault

I kind of object to this assessment of Oshie.
He's been consciously targetted for the last couple of years. Slew foots, high sticks and elbows, lots of non calls. Even if they are called, the two minutes doesn't exactly equate to the injury time off sustained.
Oshie is an elite player and if a team can eliminate him from the game, they will and if they have to sacrifice a mediocre player to do it, guess what? They will and they have.
These were obvious intents to hurt injure or harm and should be properly addressed by the NHL!
Jus' sayin'
:raspberry:
-
Meh! That silly blue kit again. :O=

:poop: :poop:

-
I kind of object to this assessment of Oshie.
His longest stretches of being injured in the last 2 seasons have been non contact. (Im counting this one as a long one, as I predict he's out 4-6 weeks) But when guys start taking multiple non contact injuries, in close proximity, it's time to hang up the skates, unfortunately.
And more :clown: :poop: Detroit is now a power house apparently. :-\
-
We're never gonna score another goal. It's official. :raspberry:
-
Way to get up for this one fellas. (more famous words Lil's heard)
Cmon fellas. Wake up and whoop this farm club

not a good 1st period for the Caps

It's almost like the Wings' goalie was expecting that PP shot from Ovi? :raspberry:
-
Pretty rubbish so far.
I have commitments tomorrow, so peace out peeps.
I'd appreciate blow by blow accounts if you would?

No fucking way is there interference. Dowder was 5' out of the blue paint. Even tipped the pick outside the blue.
-
Tough guy on Detroit going after Sheary
-
There's a superstar earning that 1.3m a year!! Dowdr x2!!

how the puck did Detroit get pp out of that

Wish Mantha had little more grit to go with that size.
-
What about the three guys jumpin in on Mantha after?

better 2nd period, Caps better keep it up in the 3rd

ORLOV

Hey! Fuck you Husso!!! :raspberry:
Orly!!
Not sure how that was possible. We had possession of the puck about 6 times and just kept handing it back..
-
6 times!!!
You fucks just leave and don't even say bye. :snicker:
-
I haven’t left yet, just ignoring you for a few more minutes until I gotta walk the dog
:raspberry:
It’s 27* outside right now
-
I wonder how many times Gustafson is going to be able to get away with sneaking in from the back side before opponents start looking for it. It's as if he/the team just discovered that he could pull off that move, and nobody's thinking about him because he isn't a scorer ..... Either that, or the team HAS been trying it before, but he and they have suddenly clicked on the timing.

He had 17 one year for Chicago.

I figured as much. lol Gonna be in the low 30's here next weekend.

I left beginning of 3rd to watch rest at home. Sorry... Bye Mick.
Putting Carlson out there in 3 vs 3 is dumb. I know you want a puck mover to score, but man you just asking the goalie to save you bacon....MULTIPLE times with JC and Ovi and Kuzy out there.
I'd just as soon see Jenson or Orlov out there....Carlson looks like he's lost a step. Either that or he gambles so often when his tank is already on E and he doesn't have the wind to get back
Although with THIS team, I'm not sure WHO to start 3v3. Maybe Strome? Eller and Kuzy can neither one win a face-off.
I thought maybe they'd give Dowd a shot since he's their best face off guy, AND cause he was hunting a hattie.
Ovechkin will never score another goal again. :-\

Lavi's OT pairs are head scratchers every time. He want's to give the "stars" their time I guess, but they make little sense to actually win in OT. I thought they should of started Dowd too. Carlson is of little use unless they get possession. Eller, whatever. lol Ovi? Oof.. They were asking to get beat, Detroit just couldn't do it. We finally got and gave away possession like it was our job. No clue how we ended up winning it. I guess it was luck. Also, if he ever puts them out, I missed it. But Milano and Strome should get ice in OT. Sheary.. Guys with speed should be king, imo. Whatever, we won.
Ovechkin will never score another goal again. :-\
This is official. :-(
-
Yeah, forgot about Sheary...I'd definitely put him out there, he just flat out hustles in both directions no matter what time of game or the score, and he got wheels.
I mean Kuzy can skate with all that open ice, but never know what he's gonna do. Ovi is a sniper and certainly has the knack for scoring, but they both such a defensive liability and I don't think open ice is Ovi's forte any more.
I mean I thought for sure were were done in OT, and then was hoping we'd hang on for a shootout, but that's a laugh too.....Kuzy, Ovi, ...no Oshie...
I'd like to see some fast puck handling guys in OT.
Hey, we won. I'll take it.
-
Kuzy was one of the main turnover culprits last night. Multiple times in game he tried skating past guys who just causally poke checked the puck right off his stick and took it the other direction. Then in OT he just chipped it up the boards like was clearing the zone. lol I thought he was concussed from the check he took. But then he made a decent push to the goal, so, just normal Kuzy these days.
-
You guys are hilarious! Thank you.
