I can't understand how Oshie's PPG was unassisted. Backy passed the puck to him. although it took Oshie three swiped to get it through.  Unusual to see an unassisted goal on a PP.

I know we bash on Reirden, but IMO he and his team have added a wonderful swarming ability to the Caps as well as getting them in tight and playing for "dirty" goals.  I think it's a big improvement that Trotz never seemed to be able to pull off. It helps that our new guys are fast and battle hard. Overall I am seeing incredibly good positioning by each and every player and they make these decisions at blinding speed.

So props too Reirden and company.

That was a great period of hockey on both sides. We should have 5-6 goals though. Refs are quite biased it seems -- missing a lot of calls.

Sigs played tonight!  He's fine, played the entire game.

Agree on the number of missed opportunities to score. Could have been more than 6 for us minus ENG.

That was a fun game to watch.  Both teams were playing fast and going up and down the ice.  After watching the Rangers lose to the Devils last night, I was surprised at how well the Rangers played tonight.  They did not look good against the Devils.  It was great to see Holtby look like his old self, he had a good game but Lundquist was even better.  As others have noted the Caps should have had three or more goals but Lundquist shut the door.  Getting Kempny back is huge, for not having played a game in 7 months I thought he looked solid tonight.  I would think he will be reunited with Carlson soon.
