Yep he was our top prospect at the time, and was near NHL ready, but shipped out for an over priced rental that we didn’t need and was an utter flop.

We can only hope that they look the teams that advanced to the second, third, and fourth round and accept that they are, and have been behind the proverbial 🎱

With our current draft/salary cap situation, I think grinders are about all we'll be able to get anyway.. So, maybe they'll be forced into getting/developing a couple?

That’d be nice. Actually NOT re-signing Bura and Connolly 7yr 5mil contracts and sticking to the “3 Line 5 Star Team” routine would be awesome . But I don’t see that happening.
At MOST they maybe let Bura walk and if they can overpay Hagelin

I actually expected far more, tbh. I fully expected at least a ... well, never mind, eh!.
DC's anti Euro shit has been going on for years and years and years, so it shouldn't exactly have been a surprise. Still with all his bias against us Euro's he still deigned to host me a few years ago, for which I am very, very gratefull. He was a fantastic host and a really, really good guy.
I have avoided these pages lately because of the complete and utter failure this last campaign and I have only recently just come back to browsing. The dissappointment was almost at a bone marrow level. I didn't actually expect us to win this year, but I DID expect a far better showing.
I look forward to some more civil and yet sprightly discussions in the future.
