he mentions the covid 1984 bullshit as the reason. 33 is a bit young to retire these days..

Zimmerman elected not to play this year because of the covid bullshit, I'd be surprised if he returns as a player

Too bad.  I liked Nisky.  Always thought he was a character guy.  I could see not wanting to deal with the NHL/Covid BS again, and maybe he's got some underlying issues that he knows will slow him down and he doesn't want to battle them for another BS season.
