The boys still aren't cleared yet. Per NHL protocol, they were to quarantine for a week. It's been a week.

Wonder if Lavi will put them in as soon as they're cleared or if he'll want them to practice a day to two first? NHL probably doesn't like the Caps breaking protocol, then earning points in every game.. We may have to lose one in regulation to get the ball rolling? :smirk:

Agreed...they need a practice or two....or seven...ten?
I'm worried the time off will throw off Sammy's timing and make him like doo doo, and he was just barely getting into it. Vitek says....F'em...I got this.
Ovie.....meh...that sum bitch don't skate that hard anyway and his skills are pretty engrained at this point and he HAS been the franchise for so long...he gets some slack.
Kuzy and Orlov....Go the F back to Russia and snort your coke and play your game...or don't. Nobody cares.
Actually, I think Kuzy could be one of the most dynamic and skilled guys in the league but he's got a serious mental issue that just prevents him from caring enough or applying himself or whatever. It's a drag because he has so much potential, but just can't seem to find whatever it is to make him get out of his own way and BE what he could be. Such a waste, which is why there might be just the hint of animosity toward him. IF he could be the player he was in the SC playoff run....he'd be phenomenal and a hall of famer.
Orlov...meh has improved I think, but with the guys we CURRENTLY have...I'd trade bait that M'fr for the salary and use it to get a decent center to replace Kuzy.
Sadly, you have to point to the captain here. I know they were just being homies, and I don't believe they really did anything wrong, but Ovie, being the captain AND the face of the franchise, needs to be better about leading the guys in the right direction and being accountable for the rules even if you (and I) think they are sheit. The needs of the team outweigh.....

If we were really in on Pierre Luc Dubois, Kuzy's name was thrown into play there. Lavy did not get him on the ice in 3v3 and that says alot, because with that much ice, he can go wherever he wants in OT.

Ive wanted him moved for several years now. His production is not enough & to inconsistent to justify his near 0 D, poor faceoffs, & inconsistent effort
However, Im pretty sure were stuck with him, the biggest reason: Ovie.
Despite being friends & all, Ovies career total has been a, perhaps the top priority for several seasons. With at least the two Covid seasons, (giving him 4 list/short NHL seasons in his career), the record is now all but impossible without playing & keeping up the pace well into his 40s, they still want to get him as far up the list as possible. Kuzy ultimately helps that, making the casualties (both salary & mistakes/effort) acceptable

Kuznetsov must of tested positive. Not sure why they're being so secretive though, if that's the case? Didn't think the covID (Instant Death) was secret material these days.

I would like for Samsonov and Orlov to be sent back down to Hersheey.
I would liike for Kuzy to be traded. He is Sasha mark 2. So full of iincrediible talent. So, so, incredibly STUPID.
I'm sick and tiired of them hangiing on to Ovii's coat tails. :clown:

Yea, Kuzy was skating with the 4th line. Said he'd have to see how he feels tomorrow, on if he'll play Tuesday or not. Im guessing they'll wait till Sunday (or whenever they play again) to put him/Sammy in.
