Poker
With all of this lockdown and self isolation going on, I wondered if our fabulous tech crew could engineer a poker game for us?
NOT talking about playing for money. Instead, free chips. Happy points even?
Obviously, I don't know how difficult or complicated this would be, but if we're not playing for actual money, that should make it easier, no? Absolutely no money or bank account details! Would we still need a gaming licence? Do we need to tell anybody about this? :-X 8) Private club???
If this worked out here, on our board, maybe we could pass this on to some of our rivals and have a proper, (uhem, friendly), competition??
I'm not looking to turn this into a "gaming" site. As some of you know, I love plaiyng poker and play online. For FREE chips. There is no gaming site that has my bank details and that is NOT what I am suggesting.
What I am suggesting is a poker game/tournament, where all us Caps fans can come together, those who are interested, have a fun game and chat.
Stay connected.
If it becomes popular, maybe it could be expanded. If not, maybe just kept for the few that are interested... if any.....
Just passing the time and keeping in touch. Keeping spirits active and connected.
Like I said... just an idea..........

Pretty sure you could set private setting for a tourney in one of the sites already up there.
NOT that I'm an expert, but you could start a game and then invite peeps.
NOT that I would play....timing and home internet suckage would prolly keep me out. I spent enough time at work - my wife would kill me if she knew I was here playing online poker :lol:

I am not aware of any tools aimed at designing games such as poker or gambling on this forum software. I have neither the time or inclination to write code for something as complex as that would require.
There is WAY too much exciting and stunning news happening at a pace no human can keep up with, but I try; and I almost never watch any mainstream FAKE NEWS BTW.
Something huge is going down and we are witnessing the greatest events to ever happen in our lifetimes IMO. Did an of you catch Steve Bannon's vicious attack on Henry Kissinger a couple days ago. He actually promised with every fiber of his body that they were coming to take him down for a lifetime of crimes against humanity. He went on taking sharp aim at Kissinger for more than 2 minutes and he indicated that Kissinger was just a part of the take down. Henry Kissinger was one of the first people I identified back around the time I was on staff at the World Bank as one of the most evil and dangerous people on the planet.
President Trump is also making very mysterious comments about grave threats to humanity, but they seem to be worded in such a way they could be taken as related to the virus or possibly something else. So much more to say, but I need to focus as I try to decode the fire hose of information flowing at the moment. It's like everything I ever hoped to see in my lifetime is about to come to pass.
For the last three days the hair on my arms has been standing on end as I sense something huge is going on behind the scenes as this silent WAR continues.
Poker, or any games (even hockey) are the furthest thing from my mind right now.
Pay close attention and it should be obvious that something huge is taking place. We are and have been at WAR for decades in America and people are only recently beginning to finally realize the danger.
I highly recommend you stock up on supplies, food, water, guns, ammo, fuel, medicines, etc. while you can. Now way to tell how bad it will get before it gets better, and it is NOT the Covid-19 virus I am concerned about. I am concerned about the potential damage caused by the massive silent WAR of which Covid-19 is but a pawn in.

If someone else want's to write code to play a game I am open to helping install and test it, to a point. That sort of time could be used to do so many other things.
Sorry Lil. There are plenty of sites online that do this. My son sometimes plays poker on his PC with a virtual reality helmet and it is mind blowing. I have tried it and it feels like I am sitting at a table in Vegas. These are real people that appear in 3D. You can even exchange items with each other, or pick up a gun and blast one in the head. I found the people very nice and polite and it was enjoyable if you like that sort of thing.

The point was for it to be an exclusive Caps thingammy. To allow and enable or us to stay in touch with each other and have our usual banter.
