It is amazing actually, that the Caps are as good as they are with a -38 goal differential.

I hate to say it but I'm really hoping they lose the next few games. Even if they somehow squeaked into the playoffs, there is no way this team makes it out of the first round. I really, really want them to be sellers at the deadline and pick up some decent draft picks. I know anything after a first round pick is not likely to produce a top player, but we have to rebuild.

I mean, we're 8 points out of the 2nd wild card. I just don't see how this team makes up 8 points (and jumps 3 teams). And certainly not before the March 5 trade deadline. They'd have to start looking fucking

The goal diff is amazing. I think 95% of our wins are when the goalie stands on his head. It's certainly not because we play good defense. lol Our goalies should probably be top of the league stats wise, except whenever they lose, they get smoked.

Boy, after last year, I was thinking NJ would make the finals. They have a ton of talent but the Caps played better.
Sgarbossa is looking like a keeper. He and Malenstyn should be bottom 6 guys next year. Good to see McMike get his mojo back - what a sweet goal.
TVR looked good tonight (helps trade value). Wish Mantha would have scored (helps trade value).
Oh, and the Caps had a couple of big clean hits (Willy and Edmundson) and nobody started a retaliation fight tonight - what a concept - there can actually be some good hitting in a game!

I think Dowd was pulled for concussion protocol as head took a drive-by head shot earlier. It didn't look too bad though.
