Alexeyev in....I guess he's healthy.
Odd though they put a defensemen in Carlson's slot
Any word on JC other than he's on IR? Must have broken his cheek bone...or maybe just a concussion with nothing broke?
-
yea, my guess is a fractured cheek bone
-
Morning chaps
-
Evenin'!! Who's ready to hear JoeB say "Shesterkin" 400x??
-
FFS having so much trouble with streams. First one works, but NYR feed. Second one is in French. Third, fourth and fifth - never get past the pop ups.
Guess I'm listening to the Rags dopes until I go home
-
Boom the Volcano erupts
-
MOJO!
-
Well you KNEW the Rags would get a PP or ten after that 5 on 3
-
poor clock management tonight, I missed most of the 1st as the dog and I had dinner
-
I haven't seen my dog or dinner yet tonight :'(
-
I don't eat dinner or have a dog :-(
-
Guess it's become obvious why, if they go deep into a shootout, Mantha sits on the bench. Dude can't score a breakaway to save his life. Been a couple weeks since he's done much of anything actually.
-
GOOOAAALLLL
GUSTAFSSON
-
Gustafsson!!
-
and the Rags challenge it
-
Gusto was heard to say.... "John who?"
-
GUSTY!

-
goal and a PP
:)
-
Had jack shit to do with him making the save, but we'll get fucked anyway. lol
-
Color me shocked.
-
Goalie initiated the contact. THat's BS if they overturn that.
That would be nothing but fucking NHL Rags bias.
WOOT - I am happily surprised at what I believe is the proper call.
-
Rags announcers are whining big time.
-
Right decision ref.
-
How da fook do the Rags get a 3 on 1 on a PK?
-
GOOOAAALLLL

really liking 96's game
I’ve liked him so far. But he probably gets waived again once this team gets healthy

Really good game all round by our fellas.

prep 74 and 77 for trading deadline.........
-
Gustafson is really playing well all around and getting aggressive in the offensive zone.
Also liked Ove Kubel. He can really skate and can lay a check, and I think can score more if given a chance.
Thought Protas had his best game as a Cap. He skates well and forechecks and is starting to show some confidence. I hope over time he uses his body more and crashes the net occasionally.
-
Good game by the boys. Kemp’s says he still wants the starting job
Gusto says he can handle passing the puck to Ovi left handed just fine
I honestly expected them to shit the bed tonight

I hadn't realized how bad our record was w/o Carlson in the lineup? They showed it last night. Was like 1-3-2 or something? But every time I've seen Gustafsson fill in for him, either on D or on the PP, he looks fine to me.
-
Not sure what the boys are eating but they look great right now. Everybody is doing his job. You know that Caps are playing well when they not only have stifling defense but turn the puck around quickly with crisp breakouts and apply plenty of forechecking. At this point, I'd hardly want to interrupt the chemistry with anybody coming off injury except for maybe Fehervary. On a side note, I've ragged on Carlson as much as anyone but I wish him a speedy recovery. He's played much better defensively over the last month and is always a force offensively. Let's enjoy this while it lasts, which is, hopefully, still a long way.

small sample, but worth watching.
I just think this is the best time to try and get value from them and as much as I like Oshie, he just is falling apart way too fast. TIme to get some prospects for the time after the Great race.
